Brad vacationing on Maui was trying to figure out how to sell the wife on letting him stay another day on Molokai. No go. He waded the shallows and hooked tailing bones. Also hooked a rare large GT on the flats for about 5 seconds.

Bill attempts to keep the line high hoping to keep his bone from wrapping on a coral head. Some Hawaiian flats are loaded with obstacles and lifting the rod is often no enough. Always great to be connected to one of these Molokai bone fish.

Look for the Green Logs when walking the flats in Hawaii. Most times they will start moving and be average sized Hawiian bones cruising the flats looking for a big meal.

Look for the Green
In other parts of the world the angler is trying to spot the shadow the bones cast on the bottom. In Hawaii the fish are large. We look for the emerald green of their backs.
First Bone Ever
This fish was the first Bonefish ever landed by Jeff. He hooked a 2nd one that was larger, of course. 2nd fish ended up going across the reef and breaking him off.

GT Falls for Popper
GTs are present but are not seen on the flats regularly. Making them hard to target. Most are caught fishing outside the reef with poppers.
